Sales is Service
Many years ago my good friend and mentor Staci Sprout said something that changed me forever.
She said: “Here's the truth: sales is service”.
It took me a minute to grok what she was telling me.
Sales is service. In three words Staci re-framed my underlying concept of sales and selling.
Selling provides me with the opportunity to be of service. It's not about hustling or being self-serving or purely transactional.
Selling is an opportunity to make the buyer's life better.
"Sales is service" is now central to how I approach sales, and training and coaching salespeople. It's my core sales belief.
